Make your own Maned Wolf! This graceful, long-legged canid can be found in the grasslands of South America. It is an omnivore and a vital part of the savanna ecosystem. Though it looks like a stilt-walking fox and is called a wolf, it is not closely related to foxes or wolves and is actually the only living member of its genus.

The 35 page pattern includes detailed step-by-step photos and clear written instructions to make an amigurumi-style Maned Wolf. PLUS there is a 15 page printer-friendly TEXT ONLY version at the end of the pattern. This pattern has been fully tested by multiple testers. Includes yarn amounts and hook sizes to make a Maned Wolf using worsted weight yarn.

Recommended for INTERMEDIATE SKILL LEVEL. This pattern uses basic crochet stitches and more complex stitches (detailed in the pattern glossary). The markings on the head use colorwork/tapestry crochet. This pattern does not provide a tutorial for the basics of colorwork/tapestry crochet.

A finished Maned Wolf made using Worsted Weight yarn is approximately 15” long from nose to tail, 9” tall from foot to shoulder, and 3” wide across the hips.

Accent color yarn (black): 65 yds
Secondary accent color yarn (white): 20 yds
G (4/4.25mm) crochet hook (or preferred amigurumi hook)
