Merge Jumper is a relaxed, everyday jumper with a round neckline, long sleeves and a subtle two-colour effect created by plating. A row of embroidered crosses highlights the centre front seam.

Its construction brings the two colours together in an unusual way. Each body piece is knitted from the hem up and forms half of the front and half of the back. The colour placement is reversed for the second piece, and the shoulders are joined on the machine.

Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL), designed for an upper bust circumference of 76–81 (82–86, 87–91, 92–97, 98–102) cm. Finished bust circumference: 104 (108, 113, 119, 125) cm, with approximately 22–28 cm of positive ease. Choose your size by your upper bust measurement.

Machine: Standard-gauge (4.5 mm) double-bed knitting machine, such as a Brother KH 890 / KR 850. A plating feeder is needed for the plated version shown. The jumper can also be knitted as colour blocks without plating.

Yarn: 405 (425, 450, 475, 500) g of Z. Hinchliffe Lambswool 2/17 Nm (850 m/100 g), using two strands together, one in each colour. The sample uses Marron 389 and Flint 271. Allow an additional 10% of yarn. A small amount of DROPS Alpaca is used for the embroidered crosses.

Gauge: 31 stitches and 45 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stocking stitch after wet blocking.
