The Midwinter Magic Wrap is designed to bring a touch of colorful whimsy to the cold, gray winter. Using sparkly yarn and a vibrant palette, you can banish the winter blues with every stitch.

Whether you want to channel twilight in a frozen forest, a candlelight winter night, or the warmth of a winter sunset, this shawl is for you.

It is knitted sideways using a ‘snowdrift stitch’—a texture that is easy to master but interesting enough to keep you engaged. The pattern is adaptable to several yarn choices and includes three specific color arrangements, along with instructions for improvising your own unique design. The pattern provides color layout schematics and row-by-row instructions with End-of-Row (EOR) counts throughout the project and includes a video link for the ‘snowdrift’ stitch pattern.

As with all my patterns, the Design Modification Section includes several yarn possibilities, including how to use a 12x80yd set, a 7x133yd set, or 10x80yd set for the contrast colors, making this three patterns-in-one It is also a flexible pattern that you can knit several times with different outcomes!

The pattern includes schematics for each layout and blank schematics to try out your color choices. It also includes helpful tips and suggestions for making this a fun and stress-free knitting project. As you can see in the images, there are at least three ways to wear this design, making this a wardrobe staple.

Miss Babs (Winter Sunset Sample): You can use a variety of combinations from their yarns, including the original colors or any 7 Yummy 2-ply toes for the long wrap and any of their 10 color mini bundles for the short wrap with a contrast skein for the small wrap.

Sunshine Yarns (Forest Twilight Sample): The Forest Twlight sample uses the Moon Circle Halfvent Set on shimmer Sock, and Natural as the MC from Sunshine Yarns. They have this set and other halfvent sets that can also work!
