This adorable little stocking ornament is smaller than many out there, measuring only about 3.5” tall. Requires a total of about 11 yards of worsted weight yarn. The rounded heel has a smooth shape, and the pattern contains detailed photos for helping with the heel flap. They’re perfect for hanging on the tree, stringing on garland, adorning a wreath, or using as charming gift toppers! Could also be used to hold the TINIEST of gifts!

Great in 2 colors as shown, or make the stocking all one color with white trim at the top only, for a more traditional look—or create a cute variegated version! I often prefer acrylic yarn for items like this, as it won’t attract insects in storage and tends to make a sturdier piece. But there is no reason you couldn’t use a blend or a lovely natural fiber to create a special, heirloom-quality gift. While I recommend a heavier worsted weight yarn, experimenting with different yarn and hook sizes can yield a range of beautiful results.
