This slightly slouchy toque is inspired by the architecture of the York Minster Cathedral in York, England.

The pattern calls for DK yarn, making it a super quick knit! Cable stitches are used to create the “fenestration” pattern, but your stitches are not carried over/under more than 2 stitches at a time, making it the perfect first cable project.

Gauge: 7 stitches and 11 rows on 4mm needles = 3cm (1in) in garter stitch.

This pattern is designed to be knit in the round on small circular needles.
