These socks are perfect for that “unicorn” skein of yarn. I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. That skein that was so beautifully colorful that you just had to buy it but now it’s sitting in your stash because you’re not sure what to make with it. Sometimes it’s hard to find a project that will make those highly colorful, variegated, and speckled yarns truly shine. As an indie dyer, I am all too aware of the unicorn yarn conundrum and I wanted to create a pattern that would highlight those unicorn yarns! Enter “Mischief Socks.” These Mischief Socks feature a gorgeously textured pattern that is easy to memorize, not at all boring, and will bring out the loveliness of your hand dyed yarn. Sound too good to be true? Well, I used one of my brightest, most colorful colorways (California Dreamin’) to knit the pictured sock sample on a glitter yarn base!! The color and glitter totally shine with the fun textured pattern.
