The simply sweet scarf looks clever and elegant, but is extremely easy to make.

Like all minimal knits | DESIGNED scarves MK#10 drapes beautifully, can be worn in all sorts of ways and is quick to knit because it uses needles larger than is usual for the yarn. An elongated boomerang shape with eyelet edges, it has the effect of being knitted on the bias.

The sample scarf was made from a 100g skein of Bombed Yarns 4ply yarn in the colour Sloth containing 350 metres – 383 yards. It measures 62 cm / 24⅛ inches by 125 cm / 48¾ inches by 172 cm / 67⅛ inches after blocking.

Skill Level Easy

Materials
Between 350 metres / 394 yards and 385 metres / 421 yards of Fingering/Sock/4 ply yarn
Please note that some yarns knit up more closely than others and if knitted with yarn at the lower end of the quantity range it may require blocking to achieve a practical length
5 mm / US 8 needles

Gauge
Doesn’t matter unless you knit very tightly or very loosely, in which case go up or down a needle size, as applicable.
