This boomerang shape scarf has very simple lacy edges on all three sides and can be worn in lots of ways. It also looks clever and elegant, but is very easy to make.

Like all minimal knits | DESIGNED boomerang scarves - knitted on the bias with curved edges - MK#18 drapes beautifully and is quick to knit because it uses needles larger than is usual for the yarn.

The sample scarf was made from a 100g skein of Rosies Moments 4ply (70% superwash merino and 30% silk) in the colour Lavender Fields, containing 400 metres / 437 yards and measures 79 cm / 31 inches, by 140 cm / 57 inches, by 172 cm / 67 inches after blocking.

Materials
Between 390 metres / 427 yards and 420 metres / 459 yards of Fingering/Sock/4 ply yarn
Please note that some yarns knit up more closely than others and if knitted with yarn at the lower end of the quantity range it may require blocking to achieve a practical length and to smooth out the edges
5 mm / US 8 needles

Gauge
Doesn’t matter unless you knit very tightly or very loosely, in which case go up or down a needle size, as applicable
