This is the Mock Pocket Shorts and Striped Belt patterns of the Sunny Spring Day Outfit, designed to fit the American Girl 18” dolls. They are worked on #2 needles with a Sport / Baby Weight Yarn. The belt is also worked on #2 Double Pointed Needles. One main color and a contrast color for the mock cable and mock pocket trim.

I make several small sections of yarn for the different color changes and do not carry the yarn across the entire back.

The short’s finished weight is approx. 20 grams or .8 ounces
The belt’s finished weight is less than 2 grams, could not measure oz.

Additional items used are a tapestry needle and a button for the belt. Double Pointed Needles are needed for the belt.

This pattern incorporates the crossing of stitches to create the mock pockets. It also incorporates a mock cable pattern which is also used in the matching shirt pattern to the set.

Every row is written in full, so there is no chart to follow.
Pattern has been tested by two independent Ravelry Knitters.
