This is the Sun Hat with Picot Brim Pattern of the Sunny Spring Day Outfit designed to fit the American Girl 18” dolls. It is worked on #2 needles with a Sport / Baby Weight Yarn. One main color and a small amount of contrast color for the “flowers”.

The hat’s finished weight is approx. 15 grams, or .8 ounces.

Additional items used are a tapestry needle.

This pattern incorporates knitting through the back of stitches to create raised rows of stitches, and knitted bobbles, to match the other pieces in the Outfit.

This is worked in three pieces and sewn together. The top of the hat is sewn to the band, and then the stitches for the brim are picked up evenly around the band and knitted.

Every row is written in full, so there are no charts to follow.
This pattern has been tested by an independent Ravelry Knitter.
