This is the Puffy Sleeve Floral Shirt pattern of the Sunny Spring Day Outfit, designed to fit the American Girl 18” dolls.

It is worked on #2 needles with a Sports / Baby weight yarn. One main color and a small amount of contrasting colors for the leaves and “flowers”. I used #2 Double Pointed Needles with stops on the ends, to create shorter needles for ease, but they are not necessary.

The shirt’s finished weight is approx. 35 grams or 1.2 ounces.

Additional items used are a tapestry needle; 45 small beads; dental floss with a stiff end for threading beads; 4 buttons; one stitch holder for half of the neck stitches, and 4 optional stitch holders for the shoulders if you do not want to bind off and sew, but want to knit together or Kitchener stitch the shoulder seams.

This pattern incorporates the crossing of stitches to create a raised diamond pattern effect, and to move raised stitches across the fabric. It also incorporates a mock cable pattern which is also used in the matching shorts pattern of the set. Bobbles are knitted for the “flowers”.

Every row is written in full, so there are no charts to follow.
This pattern has been tested by two independent Ravelry Knitters.
