This pattern to make a simple zipper pouch for all those planner pens, pencils or crochet hooks is perfect as a stash buster. Use up all those yarn scraps to construct these easy pouches in every color imaginable. I used only 20 (ish) yards of scrap cotton yarn in each of 3 colors to make my pouches.

This is a pattern to make a zipper bag using a color block scheme and simple crochet stitches. You crochet from the bottom up, in the round, with a simple stitch together at the end to construct the body of the bag. The bag is then lined with fabric and a zipper.

Instructions include photo instructions on how to make a simple fabric liner with zipper to line the inside of the pouch. This can be accomplished by machine or hand.

The finished size of this pouch is about 8” x 6”. However, this pattern can really be used to make ANY size bag you’d like. The repeats are simple and it can be adapted to most any yarn.

This pattern was tested for mistakes by a number of crocheters, but as always, feel free to contact me if there are questions that arise.
