Mont-Cenis is a double-layered beanie, easy to knit and easy to wear for any occasion. Featuring 2 layers around head and 3 ones around ears, this hat is perfect to keep you warm!

Worked in the round from the top, the inner hat in plain stockinette continue in the outer hat with stranded colorwork that is worked bottom up. Once hat is folded inside, the 2 tops are stitched together before sewing a pompom.

• 3 sizes: S, M and L
• Fits 17.25-23.5 inches head circumferences.
• Gauge (3.25 mm needles, in the round): 25 sts x 33 rnds in st st.
• Yarn requirements (MC): Drops Alpaca in dark grey 506, 2 balls or 260 (310, 365) yds.
• Yarn requirements (CC): (Vi)laines Solitaires fingering in Missing the sun, 1 skein or 45 (50, 55) yds.
• Pompom (optional): one fur pompom or add approx 50-55 yds to make a pompom 2.25-2.5” in diameter.
• Notions: 3.0 and 3.25 mm circular needles + dpns, 1-10 st markers.
• Techniques: increases, decreases, stranded colorwork.

Mont-Cenis est un bonnet double, facile à tricoter et à porter. Avec une double épaisseur au niveau de la tête et une triple au niveau des oreilles, ce bonnet est idéal pour tenir bien chaud !

Tricoté en rond à partir du sommet, le bonnet intérieur, uni, se prolonge par le bonnet extérieur avec le motif en jacquard à fils tendus qui se termine par son sommet. Une fois le bonnet plié en deux, les deux sommets sont assemblés avant d’y coudre un pompon.
