This shawl is the interplay of light and dark, garter and stockinette, resulting in the formation of a delicate network of rigid lines. As the garment grows, a sophisticated and architectural sequence emerges, evoking a sense of luxury and high-end fashion.

Montage is constructed bottom up, has a triangular shape by increasing along the left edge, and includes a 3-stitch i-cord border.

Materials
Yarn:
Light fingering or fingering weight yarn, contrasting colors
800–920 yds (730–840 m), approx. 200 g

Sample shown:
• 1 skein Sock by Malabrigo Yarn in Playa (gray), 440 yds (100 g)

Gauge
