Staircase is a study in ascent. Terraced columns climb across a backdrop of stripes, like wind-combed ridges that ripple across a sand dune.
This shawl is worked in mosaic and uses a subdued palette of beachy and driftwood colors. Throw it loosely over your
shoulders during a morning coastal walk, or wrap tightly around your neck while enjoying a seaside bonfire.
Staircase has a symmetrical triangular shape, is constructed bottom up, increases along the left-hand edge on the right side of the work, includes a 3-stitch i-cord border, and can be made larger or smaller to suit preferences.
