The Moreau sweater is worked top down in the round and is entirely seamless. You cast on in the round for the neckline, then work the colorwork yoke, split the sleeves, knit the body then go back to knit the sleeves. Short row shaping is used in the back and the front to create an elegant shape to the yoke motif. The cuffs feature an additional colorwork motif to tie into the yoke.
Its colorwork motif is designed for you to paint with yarn and play with color. Three colorways are used in the chart motif, which play and interact in different ways throughout the colorwork, however you can get creative and sample as many colors as you would like to make a striking or subdued look. You can also play with handspun yarn or color fading yarn which can add another layer of interest. This pattern is best suited for a knitter who is comfortable with knitting colorwork, as there are a couple rows that use three colors in the one row. All charts are worked bottom up, right to left.
