The inspiration for this pattern came from my love of the early morning frost on a Winter’s morning; frost crunching underfoot and leaves glistening in the light of the sun hanging low in the Winter sky.

They are knitted cuff down with a pretty lace pattern running down one side of the sock.

The pattern is suitable for beginner knitters through to more experienced knitters. I would recommend using tonal / semi-solid yarn or a lightly speckled yarn to define the lace.

For my sample, I used a skein of Heritage BFL 4-ply in the colourway Sea Foam from The Wool Barn, and I knitted a size medium. I used approx. 70g for the pair, but you may require more if you are knitting the larger size or prefer a longer leg length.
