In this pattern, you’ll learn how to create a simple knitted beanie with an optional poof. The best part about this pattern is that you can easily customize the size.

For this pattern, you are going to make a rectangle and then seam the sides together to form a tube. You will then cinch one end together to create the top of the hat.

By completing this pattern, you will learn the following skills:
• Casting on
• The knit stitch (garter stitch)
• Binding off
• Seaming
• Creating a poof

What tools will you need?
• 1 skein of Super Bulky Yarn (I used Lion Brand® Wool Ease® Thick & Quick®)
• 1 pair of US 13 (9mm) knitting needles (either straight needles and circulars will work)
• Darning needle (optional)
