Another dotty variation on the hat theme with lots of autumn colors.

The pattern and size of the hat is approx. the same at hat nr 2.
As you can see the motive is very similar to the nr 1 hat but the yarns have been changed and it includes three colors. I find it amazing how much you can alter a simple motive by modifying colors and texture. For the first time in my life I adventured into knitting with beads !

I chose the easiest method and brought a yarn with beads already on the thread. Even so, I found it a bit difficult to anchor the beads properly and had to do some consolidating work afterwards. I did however discover that bead knitting is a world in itself - and one into which I surely would like to venture one day.
I used nearly all of the red beaded yarn ; the green Quince yarn was left over from socks and you will need only a small amount.

The last photo shows the beret together with a scarf made in Madelinetosh’s gorgeous candlewick color.
