Yarn

Organic Merino DK from Thelma Steimann, yarn is 100% eco-friendly hand-dyed merino wool. Approx. 225m/100g per skein. Wonderfully soft wool to work with.

Hand-dyed silk mohair from Thelma Steimann, a blend of 72% brushed mohair and 28% silk, approx. 420m/50g per skein. Silky-soft texture and pleasant wool to work with.

Circular needles 5.5 mm in 40 & 80 cm for body and sleeves.
Circular needles 4.5 mm in 40 cm for neckline.
Tapestry needle, 8 x stitch markers.
2 x large safety pins or thread to hold sleeves.

Gauge

Make sure to check gauge before starting. Cast on 16 sts and knit 21 rows on 5.5 mm needles for a 10 x 10 cm gauge swatch.
If gauge is smaller in cm, switch to larger needles.
If gauge is larger in cm, switch to smaller needles.

Good to Know

The sweater is knit top-down with double strands. You start by casting on at the neckline, then increasing for the shoulders. The sweater is then split at the underarms, and the body and sleeves are knitted separately.

Yarn amounts are based on average usage and may vary for individuals. The pattern can be knit with any yarn of the same thickness as Organic Merino DK combined with Kid Silk Mohair.
