This is a free pattern for a generic beanie hat, worked in the round, designed to support the rights of Immigrants and DACA.
The hat reads, NO Ban NO Wall NO Hate

This hat has not been test knit by anyone except me. Please let me know if you find errors or have suggestions

The inspiration for the hat comes from the current hashtag on social media, #NOBANNOWALL , referring to the Administration’s recent attempts to ban immigrants from certain countries from entering the US, and the proposed border wall between the US and Mexico. The design is also in opposition to recent hate crimes based on country of origin, religion, or color. The monarch butterfly design is a symbol used in support of Immigrants and open borders.

This hat has the same basic construction as my Bold Resistor Hat and includes four charts. One each for NO Ban, NO Wall and NO Hate, as well as one for the butterfly. If you follow charts A, B and C side by side, around the hat, it will read, NO Ban NO Wall NO Hate.
The butterfly can be used individually, or repeated 6 times to encircle the hat.
For a small/medium adult hat, use worsted weight with size 6 needles for a gauge of 5 stitches per inch.
For a larger adult hat, use aran weight yarn with size 6 or 7 needles for a gauge of 4.5 stitches per inch.
I am a fairly loose knitter and worsted weight yarns seem to vary widely, so please check gauge when selecting needle sizes.
The pattern is free for personal use.
