When i first began to crochet, I loved making granny squares! But I would often struggle to complete an actual project, because I absolutely envied sewing in those ends.

Fast forward 5 years, during lockdown, I came up with this modern boho-inspired top, that really goes back to basics, by using a few Granny Squares in a unique and innovative way to create something truly beautiful…

so allow me to introduce you to The Not Your Grannys Square Top.

The design marries simple stitches with slightly more complicated ones, which really help to create a dramatic, flattering and elegant garment. The pattern is suitable for crocheters of advanced beginner level (or a beginner that likes a little challenge) and is a great way to learn some new stitches and techniques.

It consists of 3 panel sizes with directions on how to adjust the panel and to customise it’s fit - which makes it the perfect top for every BODY. All you’ll need to get started is a 4mm hook and some DK yarn in one or more colours!

Happy hooking!

All of my patterns are tested by crocheters and/or designers to ensure the best and clearest instructions are presented to you!
Please note: Any yarns may be used other than the ones listed, crocheting should be an affordable hobby, so use what is easily available to you.
