olivia the owl
Olivia the Owl is a part of my #nopressurepatterns series: small, projects you can make with leftover yarn, in one evening, without stress.
What makes Olivia special:
- tiny ear tufts made from two knots - using the yarn tail from the cast-on, so no extra yarn or sewing is needed,
- pointy wings - a small twist on my usual bobble that you can pull into shape,
- a classic owl face and belly in duplicate stitch, following a simple chart,
- an embroidered beak and feet.
Inside the pattern:
- the full body worked in the round on two parallel needles,
- step-by-step instructions for the pointy bobble, duplicate stitch and Kitchener stitch,
- a chart for the face and belly,
- photos for every step that needs them.
Details:
- yarn: some yarn in an owl colour + small amounts of light/cream, black and yellow
- needles: DPNs (or one long circular needle for Magic Loop),
- level: adventurous beginner
- language: English
You’re welcome to sell finished Olivias made from this pattern - just please credit @hekla.cwist as the designer.
