Notes
Woodlanders brings together three tiny friends from the forest: Derek the Deer, Frank the Fox and Olivia the Owl.
They all share the same simple, cosy little body - once you’ve made one, the others will feel like old friends. Each of them has its own small forest details:
Derek has little i-cord antlers with knotted side branches, a tiny tail and soft spots embroidered on his forehead and back,
Frank has a 3D snout, a nice tail with a white tip and a white face and belly in duplicate stitch,
Olivia has ear tufts made from just two knots, pointy wings, an owl face and belly from a small chart, and an embroidered beak and feet.
This is a #nopressurepatterns collection: no special yarn, no perfect stitches, no rush. Just a few quiet evenings and a small forest family slowly growing on your desk, in your pocket or on your keys.
Inside the bundle:
3 full patterns: Derek the Deer, Frank the Fox and Olivia the Owl,
the body worked in the round on two parallel needles - no sewing in the main construction,
step-by-step technique guides: bobble stitch, pointy bobble, duplicate stitch, i-cord and Kitchener stitch,
charts for Frank’s and Olivia’s markings,
holder/hugger arms and long silly limbs variations (Derek and Frank),
photos for every step that needs them.
Details:

Needles: DPNs (or Magic Loop)
Time: about one evening per friend
Level: adventurous beginner

Your Woodlanders don’t need to look exactly like mine. Crooked antlers, sleepy faces and wonky wings are all very welcome here.
You’re welcome to sell finished animals made from these patterns - just please credit @hekla.cwist as the designer.
