Oscar Scarf
about this pattern
the oscar scarf is inspired by scarves from acne studios; the ones with the finger-like fringe and the fuzzy mohair texture that have been trendy for fall/winter 2025. in a bright color it makes a great statement scarf, and a fun way to ease the mid-winter blues.
the scarf starts with a handful of i-cords, arranged into a base for knitting. from this end it is worked in plain brioche to the end, and finally a corresponding number of i-cords are created to finish it off.

recommended yarn and needles
the recommended yarn is labeled as a bulky yarn, but knits loosely on 4.5mm needles, making it nearer to aran in my estimation. please be sure to knit a gauge swatch and make sure you are happy with it your yarn/needle combination before proceeding.
noro yarns - alpacana (5 balls)
4.5mm DPNs & 2 sets of circulars, all in the same size.
