Owls of Life-Spring is pattern 1 in the series. This series uses a combination of lace and easy to knit but elegant owl cables to represent the stages of life….through the seasons of the year
Spring is a time of rebirth. In the spring, new generations enter the world, new growth appears on established plant life, leaves bud, flowers start opening, snow melts away, and the world becomes washed in color.
In Owls of life-Spring, the owls are flanked by branches studded with “budding leaves”.

Because of all of the cables, the fit of theses socks runs somewhat narrow. If in doubt go up 1 needle size for the leg, up one size, or add a small gusset to allow room for the ankle.

In the sample, an 8 pair of increases and decreases gusset is added on a size Medium.

Instructions are given for working magic loop, Needle 1 and Needle 2. If using DPNs put the instep on Needle 1 and sole/back leg stitches on 2 needles.
