To Fit (for a head circumference of): 51-56 (53-58, 56-61) cm / 20-22 (20.75-22.75, 22-24)” head circumference.

The model wears a size 1 with 2.5 cm / 1” of negative ease.

FINISHED BRIM CIRCUMFERENCE

Head circumference: 54 (60, 66) cm 20 (22, 23)“

Recommended ease: Approx. 1 cm / 0.5” of negative ease.

NOTES ON CONSTRUCTION

The hat is worked bottom up from the brim towards the crown. First, the entire brim is knitted in a stocking stitch, and when it reaches enough size to fold it over itself, the direction of knitting is turned to begin working the crown with decreases.

The entire hat is knitted, holding 2 strands together and is crowned with a beautiful ceramic button. In my case, I have used a button from Martu Perino - Knit and enjoy handmade in an artisanal way.
I recommend using double-pointed needles when it is no longer comfortable to do decreases with circular needles.

YARN

Amounts of yarn may vary because of the type of yarn, personal gauge, and any changes made to the pattern.

Worsted/bulky weight yarn

Yarn 1 - Y1- 100 gr / 170 m / 186 yd

Suggested yarn

I have chosen a boucle yarn to create this teddy hat effect that the character wears in the film. It is a warm hat that simulates a lambskin hat with a much more pop touch.

Y1: 2 (2, 2) balls of Lanamania Caracurl - (100 g/170 m; 3.5 oz/186 yd; 55% Wool / 41% Superfine Alpaca / 4% Nylon). Light brown

NEEDLES

Main fabric: circular needles 3.5 mm / 40 cm US 4/16” or the appropriate needle size you need to achieve gauge.

Crown: 3.5 mm (US 4) double-pointed needles (DPNs) or your preferred needles for knitting small circumferences. (Use the needle size you need to achieve gauge.)

NOTIONS

Tapestry needle, markers and one safety pin are needed to show the right side of the garment.

GAUGE

10 stitches x 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm
4 x 4 ” in Stockinette stitch IN THE ROUND, after blocking.

NOTAS SOBRE LA CONSTRUCCIÓN

El gorro se teje de abajo hacia arriba desde el ribete hacia la coronilla. Primero se teje todo el ribete en punto jersey y cuando se alcanza el tamaño suficiente para poder doblarlo sobre sí mismo se gira el sentido del tejido para comenzar a tejer la corona con disminuciones.
Todo el gorro está tejido a doble hebra y está coronado con un bonito botón de cerámica. En mi caso, he utilizado un botón de Martu Perino - Teje y disfruta hecho a mano de forma artesanal.
Recomiendo utilizar agujas de doble punta cuando ya no sea cómodo hacer disminuciones con agujas circulares.

HILO

Las cantidades de hilo pueden variar según el tipo de hilo, tu tensión personal y cualquier cambio realizado en el patrón.

Hilo de grosor worsted/bulky.

Hilo 1 - H1- 100 gr / 170 m / 186 yd

Hilo recomendado

He elegido un hilo bouclé para crear este efecto de borreguito que muestra el gorro que lleva el personaje de la película. Es un gorro calentito que simula un gorro de piel de cordero pero con un toque mucho más pop.

H1: 2 (2, 2) ovillos de Lanamania Caracurl - (100 g/170 m; 3.5 oz/186 yd; 55% Lana / 41% Alpaca Superfina / 4% Nylon). Color: marrón claro

AGUJAS

Tejido principal: agujas circulares de 3.5 mm / 40 cm US 4/16” o el tamaño de aguja necesario para obtener la tensión correcta.

Corona: agujas de doble punta (DPNs) o tus agujas preferidas para tejer circunferencias pequeñas de 3.5 mm US 4. (Usa el tamaño de aguja necesario para alcanzar la muestra de tensión).

Aguja lanera, marcadores y un imperdible para indicar el lado derecho de la prenda.
