“Paw prints in snow” is a cozy and adorable lace knitting pattern for fingerless gloves featuring a trail of cat (or dog or any animal) pawprints running up through your hand. Perfect for cat lovers and cozy style enthusiasts!

Materials:

  • 2.5 mm (US 1½) double-pointed needles (DPNs) set of 5, or circular 2.5mm (US 1½) 80cm,
  • 25 g of yarn that meets the gauge. I use ALIZE ANGORA GOLD in colour: 40 blue (100 g = 550m or 3.53 oz = 601 yds),
  • tapestry needle,
  • 2 stitch markers,
  • different colour scrap yarn,
  • scissors.

Techniques required:

  • cast on,
  • k - Knit,
  • p - Purl,
  • K2TOG - knit 2 sts together,
  • SSK - slip, slip, knit,
  • KFB - knit into front and back of same stitch,
  • M1LP - make 1 purl left leaning,
  • M1RP - make 1 purl right leaning,
  • M1LK - make 1 knit left leaning,
  • M1RK - make 1 knit right leaning
  • YO - yarn over.
