Bow ties (or bows) make for the perfect accessory and are really versatile. This bow tie was originally designed as an accessory for pet collars for dogs or cats, but could also be attached to ribbon, pinned to bags or glued to a hair slide or hair band. It’s really easy to customise it to suit your own style and purpose.

The pattern is 3 pages long and includes various colour photographs of the finished bow tie. It has 3 pattern variations to give you ideas: a plain bow tie; alternating stripes bow tie; and single striped bow tie.

The finished bow tie, if using the suggested yarn and hook, is 9.5cm across, 5cm tall at largest point, 3.5cm tall at narrowest point, with the loop measuring 3.5cm tall, 2.5cm wide. It’s the perfect pattern for beginners and experienced crocheters will be able to whip up a couple in an hour.
