Shawl Construction
A triangular-shaped shawl that starts with a unique garter stitch tab and increases within the wildflower inspired design elements. We begin our knitting adventure with the precious little Sagebrush Buttercup. Next in our trek is the beautiful purple Wild Mountain Lupine that grows in abundance along the roadsides and hiking trails. You will not forget the fields of tall, stately purple blossoms. As we continue on our journey, you will create the lovely Prairie Rose and the interesting Coneflower. Between the various patterns are garter stitch rows that provide you time to rest and ponder about your own visits to view the beautiful blossoms. At the end of the shawl is a delightful prairie ruffle (similar to a ruffle you would see on a prairie dress). The ruffle gives the shawl that special finishing touch. The Prairie Wildflower Shawl is perfect to wrap around yourself while sitting in a porch rocker watching a magnificent sunset over the mountains.
