This shawl is knitted in the round from the center out towards the edge.

The lace leaves pattern for the center section takes approximately half of the yarn.

One leaf repeat of the central chart measured 6cm wide by 7 cm tall after blocking.

It is a little tricky to start with only 4 stitches in the center, but this stage passes quickly, and you can get into the flow of the pattern.
