Knit your own cuddly pumpkin heads (5” tall and 6” wide). This pumpkin head is easy to make and would be a great Halloween gift, decoration or party favor.

For an ADVANCED BEGINNER knitter. The pumpkin is mostly knitted flat on straight needles using short row shaping (fully explained in the pattern). The stalk is knitted in the round on dpns. There is only one sewn seam.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Garter (knit) Stitch
short row shaping (explained in pattern)
Knitting in the round on dpns
Some basic embroidery

MATERIALS REQUIRED:
1/4 of ball of orange worsted weight yarn (approximately 60 yards)
Scrap of green worsted weight yarn (approximately 4 yards)
US size 5 (3.75 mm) needles or size needed to obtain gauge
US size 5 (3.75 mm) double pointed needles (dpns)
Scrap of brown yarn (approximately 1 yard)
2 buttons
Handful of fiberfill (Stuffing)
Tapestry needle
