Nothing says autumn quite like Pumpkin Pie. This half-pi shawl is the perfect fall accessory. Knit in a luxurious DK-weight yarn, it will keep off the chill of those brisk fall evenings. The warm orange color evokes the aroma of pumpkin pie spices. Pumpkin Pi features my technique of encoded lace. The lace repeats are easy to memorize and the ruffled edge is like the crimped edges of a homemade pie crust.

Pumpkin Pi is the first in my series of half-pi shawls, all based around traditional kinds of pie. Each will feature a custom lace pattern, and you can expect a variety of colors and yarn weights to match the seasons. Thank you for coming along on my journey through pi.
