Quadruple windspinner small
This is a written pattern for a small, tapered windspinner.
A few pictures are added for a bit more explanation, but you should be able to follow written instructions.
For this windspinner I used acrylic yarn (Stylecraft Special dk or Scheepjes colourcrafter) which is 295 m/322 yards per 100 gram, and hooksize 3.5 .
I needed about 65 meters/71 yards of yarn, in 2 different colors.
My windspinner was about 16 cm/6.3 inches long and 9 cm/3.54 inches wide.
You can use other yarn if you like. The spinner can be bigger or smaller in that case.
The level is advanced beginner to intermediate.
Stitches and (US-)terms used in this pattern:
- foundation chain
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- slst = slipstitch
- hdc = half double crochet
- dc = double crochet
- trc = treble crochet
- dtrc = double treble crochet
- yoslst = yarnover slipstitch
- incr = increase = make two stitches in one stitch
- flo = frontloop only
- blo = backloop only
Other materials you need:
-A small weight to hang under the windspinner
-A thread or cord for hanging the windspinner. You can use nylon thread or a single thread of the yarn you used for making the windspinner itself.
Have fun with this windspinner!
