I designed this pattern during the 2020 quarantine. It’s a simple but fun pattern for 5 nesting baskets. Uses 4 strands of yarn held together. It’s great for using scraps of various colors. It’s simple enough to do while watching a movie or relaxing, but still rewarding when you create functional home decor and storage.

I like to make 1 of the strands be a wool yarn, which it gives it a nice texture. Tons of possible yarn and color combinations. As long as the majority of the basket is acrylic it is safe to machine wash, and they air dry quickly, or can be tumbled dried on gentle/low heat.

Finished Sizes (Approximate, varies with gauge):
XL basket: 15” x 13” 9”
L basket: 14” x 11” x 8”
M basket: 12.5” x 9” x 7”
S basket: 11” x 8” x 6”
XS basket: 10” x 7” x 5”

This pattern is worked in a continuous spiral using single crochets. There are no seams or joining. Beginner friendly.
