I used to be an avid backcountry mountain snowmobiler (before becoming a mama) and the Renshaw backcountry riding area was one of my favorites! Located outside of McBride, British Columbia, Renshaw was a sledder’s paradise with big mountain climbs and even bigger views! I had always wished I had a big colorful cabled hat to wear after we spent the day riding to hide my helmet hair (yikes)! So here it is!

Cables, marled yarns, and fading colors – this hat is full of fun techniques! Knit in the round holding fingering weight yarn doubled, this hat is a great way to use up those lonely skeins and partials in your stash or that gradient set you had to have! Knit up in neutrals or go big with color to match the big cables!
