If you are already comfortable doing Tunisian crochet flat, this simple cowl is a great first project to try Tunisian crochet in the round. By using two different colors of yarn, the honeycomb pattern pops on one side and the variegated yarn shines on the other. Wear either side facing out depending on your mood.

Materials needed:

  • 100 yards of a solid colored, worsted weight yarn. The sample pictured used Malabrigo Rios in Black
  • 100 yards of a variegated or contrasting color of worsted weight yarn. The sample pictured used Malabrigo Rios in Medusa
  • US K-10.5/6.5 mm double ended crochet hook OR two 6.5 mm interchangeable Tunisian crochet hooks connected by a short cord
  • Yarn needle
  • stitch marker, optional

The pattern makes a one-size fits all cowl. If you wish to adjust the size of your cowl, simply change the length of the starting chain, being sure to chain an ODD number. Note, this may change the yardage needed for the cowl.
