This hat features three ridges of bobbles reminiscent of a dragon’s back.

It is knitted from the top down in one piece.

The pattern is available in adult and newborn baby to 3 months old, the only difference being in the choice of yarn and needle size (so intermediate sizes can be achieved with a bit of experimentation).

For adult, I use Rowan Big Wool or Drift; for baby size, Rowan DK (baby merino silk or cashsoft). The gauge above is for Big Wool/ Drift; for DK, 10 cm = 24 stitches and 28 rows on 3 mm needles in stockinette stitch.

I would rate the difficulty as easy to medium.
