The Rigi 3 Hat is worked from the bottom up in a wide rib pattern composed of 16 radial segments. The ribbing of the triple-folded brim (thus Rigi 3) flows seamlessly into the rib structure of the upper section. The decreases translate the logic of round-yoke sweaters into a hat construction.

The hat is knitted bottom-up on a short (40 cm) circular needle. For the crown shaping, switch to double-pointed needles or to a long circular needle for working with the Magic Loop method.

Die Rigi 3 Mütze wird von unten nach oben auf einer 40 cm langen Rundstricknadel gearbeitet. Für die Mützenspitze wird auf ein Nadelspiel oder eine lange Rundstricknadel mit Magic-Loop-Technik gewechselt.

Charakteristisch für die Rigi 3 Mütze sind ein dreilagiger Umschlagbund und 16 strahlenförmige Rippensegmente aus rechten und linken Maschen, die der Mütze eine klare, architektonische und kronenartige Form verleihen. Die Rippensegmente des geklappten Umschlagsbunds setzen sich mustergemäß in den Rippensegmenten des oberen Mützenteils fort.
