This is a pattern for an ornately cable lace shawl. This shawl is knitted with a light weight worsted weight yarn, using a size US #8 needle and requires approximately 1100 yards of yarn.

The shawl is approximately 18 inches x 74 inches. Both the focal cable stitch and the side cable stitch comes to us from Canada and the creative mind of Annie Maloney. The lace is a more traditional faggotting stitch.

The stitches are both charted out, but it is handy to be able to refer to the chart, if you are using the line by line.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a very good working knowledge of cabling .)

There are also instructions for an optional crocheted border, should you want it edged. (This is the ONLY crochet in the pattern).
