These mittens from Halldórustofa are knitted in hand-spun dark brown with a white contrasting wool. The cuffs are knitted with one stitch in white and one in brown alternately for one round and then the pattern is shifted in the next round. This makes the cuff very dense. The original mittens show signs of wear and have been mended. The mitten body and the thumb are patterned throughout. It’s important to keep an even tension and work the dominant color consistently.
