An issue I’ve found myself grappling with is that whenever I’m down with a bad cold, my tissue boxes look really dull; the standard packaging is either awfully ugly or just plain boring, and it totally doesn’t match the overall design and vibe of my living room!

Inspired by this uninspired tissue box I decided to make the Sea ‘n’ Sunshine tissue box cover! It’s a fitted cover done with the Mini Check Plaid Stitch. I feel it can be aptly categorized as an advanced pattern but I still feel that a very ambitious beginner can tackle it.

The stitch is worked in multiples of 3 and is mainly comprised of Double Crochet Stitches and Chain stitches. 3 dcs are approximately 1 cm, this is important to know because every tissue box has different dimensions.
