Seagrass is a triangular shawl made using two different complimentary yarns. It features contrasting stripes, a gentle wave pattern, and airy lace segments reminiscent of an underwater kelp forest.

I recommend using yarns with two different textures for added contrast! I used a slightly finer bamboo yarn and a thicker merino yarn for my shawl, the difference in texture helps to bring out the stripes and waves.

Materials
Yarn-
Color A: Be So Fine by Kristin Omdahl Yarns (100% bamboo) 650 yds/113g in color Caribbean Turquoise
Color B: Monokrom Fingering by Urth Yarns (100% superwash merino) 435 yds/100g in color 3065
Or substitute any two fingering weight yarns. I recommend making the “busier” or more variegated yarn color B.
Needles- US 5 (3.75mm)
Other Notions- Tapestry needle, 2 stitch markers, blocking pins

Gauge
6 sts and 8 rows = 1 in
Gauge is not crucial for this shawl, but you may need to adjust the yardage needed to complete your project.
