Fingerless mittens are just perfect for those in between weathers! Warm and cosy, but still gives the wearer a lot of flexibility! The Secret Garden mittens, as well as their companion socks, came out of a dream I have about a beautiful secret little nook in a garden somewhere, a little hideaway where I can rest and relax. They want to add a little secret glamour and romance to your day!

One size, adult medium. Finished and blocked mittens measure:
Length of the mitten: approx. 20 cm/7.9”
Circumference: approx. 18 cm/7.1”
Size can be adjusted by using smaller or larger sized needles and/or a different yarn.

Yarn
Suggested:
MC : Järbo Junior Raggi 68401 (Natural White)
CC: Happy Sheep Magic Sock Wool 16 (Confetti)

Approximate weight needed (if sticking to gauge):
MC: 30 g
CC: 30 g

One ball of yarn: 50 g = 210 meters/230 yards. You can replace these suggestions with any other yarn of the same weight.

Needles: Magic loop or double pointed needles sizes 2 mm/US 0 (for ribbing) and 2.5 mm/US 1.5 (for colourwork) or whichever size needle is suitable for achieving gauge or change size. If you use magic loop, a cable of about 60-80 cm/25-30” is sufficient.

Darning needle and scissors
A piece of scrap yarn
Two knitmarkers

Gauge for colourwork: Approx. 34 st/38 rows = 10 cm/4”

Pattern is available in English and Swedish.

Techniques used: Stranded knitting using two colours.
