About
The Selene Mittens are a light yet comforting pair of mittens designed to keep your hands warm while effortlessly elevating any outfit. Their defining cable pattern is eye-catching yet calm, adding subtle texture without ever feeling loud.
The mittens begin with a twisted rib cuff, followed by increases for the thumb and the cable pattern worked across the back of the hand. The palm is kept simple in stockinette stitch, creating a balanced contrast to the textured front. After placing the thumb stitches on hold, the hand is shaped with decreases and finished using the Kitchener stitch. The thumb is worked last.
A thoughtful and satisfying project that combines clean lines, gentle texture and timeless wearability.
