The Semilla headband is knit bottom up and in the round. It uses knit and purl stitches to create a cozy and interesting texture. It’s perfect for last minute gifts and artisan markets as it is very quick to make.

The pattern is written in US standard terms and includes instructions for 2 sizes in 3 different yarn weights: super bulky, bulky, and worsted.

Skill level: beginner.

SUGGESTED YARN:
Super bulky (6): Fiber Fever Super Bulky, Malabrigo Rasta, Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick, Lion Brand Hometown.
Bulky (5): Fiber Fever Bulky and Malabrigo Vientos.
Worsted (4): Malabrigo Rios, Cascade 220.
Or any other yarn that matches gauge.

Gauge: 9 stitches x 14 rounds
Yardage: Child: 40 yards / 37 m / Adult: 45 yards / 41 m

BULKY
Needles: US 10 / 6 mm
Gauge: 13 stitches x 20 rounds
Yardage: Child: 55 yards / 50 m / Adult: 60 yards / 55 m

WORSTED
Needles: US 7 / 4.5 mm
Gauge: 20 stitches x 30 rounds
Yardage: Child: 60 yards / 55 m / Adult: 65 yards / 60 m
