SEVENSWELL is a collaboration design celebrating the 7th anniversary of 織物學 Tingknitting from Taiwan.
The theme of the anniversary is 52 Sevens / Cycles of Time: 7 as days in a week and 52 as weeks in a year as well as their new address after move and we accumulate 52 weeks of seven days every year. The design is inspired by this concept and represents repeated rhythms and time going by.

SEVENSWELL camisole features 7 waves as the name indicates. The repeats of puffs and gathers create a continuously undulating fabric and the slight differences between the repeats symbolize accumulation of moments and flowing elements.

Also, the pattern yarns dyed by Chappy yarn and Sevenfold Dyes resonate avec Taiwanese climate and the changes of the seasons that evolve without disruption, with slight variations in humidity and temperature. This continuous and imperceptible evolution, and not an abrupt change, is presented by these two hand-dyed yarns as Summer Chapter and Autumn-Winter Chapter. This seasonal adaptability contributes, I think, to this design’s versatility and adds interest.

I hope Sevenswell accompanies you in your everyday life, and you enjoy it in every season and every moment.

Lastly, I feel very honored, from the bottom of my heart, to take part in this milestone project. I hope the new chapter of Tingknitting is also filled with beautiful and meaningful moments.

SEVENSWELLは “織物學 Tingknitting“ の記念すべき7周年を機に生まれたデザインです。1週間は7日、1年は52週間。そして移転先の新住所は52番地。
“52 Sevens / Cycles of Time”──毎年52個の “7” を重ねていく、という7周年のコンセプトから着想を得ました。繰り返されるリズムと、その中を流れていく時間。その感覚をかたちにしたアニバーサリーコラボレーションです。

SEVENSWELLはその名の通り、7つのうねりで構成されたキャミソール。パフ（膨らみ）とギャザー（縮み）をリピートすることで、連続する立体的な波の編み地を生み出します。均一ではないわずかな揺らぎを含ませることで、積み重なる時間や循環する要素を表現しました。

さらに、Chappy yarn、Sevenfold Dyes が染めた特別な指定糸は、台湾の気候や季節の移ろいと共鳴しています。湿度や温度に影響されながら、途切れることなく移り変わっていく季節。コントラストではない曖昧で連続的なその変化を、2種類の手染め糸を通して、“Summer Chapter“ と “Autumn–Winter Chapter“ で提案しています。季節に対応できるマルチウェイなデザインを実現することで、より柔軟で面白いプロジェクトになりました。

変幻自在なSEVENSWELLが日常生活に馴染み、それぞれの時間や季節とともに楽しんでもらえますように。

最後に、このような節目のプロジェクトに関わらせていただけたことを、心から光栄に思います。そして、Tingknittingの新たな章が、これからも豊かな時間に満ちたものになることを願っています。
