If a snarky cat with a potty mouth bothers you, please do not purchase this as I cannot control her (could you?!)

The Sharon Air MKAL Begins August 12! Schematic for color planning is available right now and will update when pattern becomes available (please make sure you’re logged in when you purchase so it goes into your Ravelry inbox.)

Sharon Air is not just a knitting pattern; it is an experience with Sharon From Security (pictured at the left.) The ticket to board is $2 per week so if that airfare is worth it to you, please join us. If you’ve lost your knitting mojo (and it seems a lot of people have), this may just help you get it back! You will follow Sharon on her travels as our super hero cat sets out to bring to justice the scariest perp she has ever faced (she is in prep mode right now.) You will also enjoy our weekly surprises of recipes for different things and as usual, we ask you to trust us and not over-analyze it or try to get us to spill the beans.

Sharon Air is Sharon From Security’s personal airline with all of the rules that come with it. She manages to dodge the FAA but safety is her first priority so any EB on the plane will result in the SAMs (Sharon’s Air Marshals) handing you a parachute. This is pretty much the tip of the iceberg so don’t say you weren’t warned! As we said, this is an experience, not just a knitting pattern.

Clue 1 drops on August 12, then every Friday at Sharon From Security O’Clock which is “When I feel like it” (you know catz.)

We will have 6 clues over 6 weeks…or maybe we’ll give you a week off in the middle.

This is a new shape of shawl for us and rather uncommon. It wraps nicely and can be made longer. It is suitable for the intermediate beginner. You have to just trust the cat.

There is some relaxing knitting and some pay attention knitting but Sharon really loves her “Sharon Snax” (a Sharon Snack is a mistake that you ignore because you can’t see it from a speeding squad car.) So all of you perfectionists who are trying to reform, Sharon’s patterns are great for that! We do not aim for perfectionism here - go to the mall for clothes if that’s what you’re after!

Sharon here - fectionism is overrated but SUSHI SENT BY GRUB HUB TO Rhode Island to STARVING CAT WHO HASN’T BEEN FED IIN A MONTH is not overrated. Sharon out.

Yarn Guidance
4 skeins of fingering weight yarn (400 yards each.) This is a perfect stash buster and remember that you don’t need to use all of the same brands or materials. You can also mix merino and silk, merino and nylon, etc. “Purists are for building planes not knittin - and they take all the fun outta it!” (SFS)

You can use any 4 colors of yarn. My Miss Babs kit is are above and from left to right, are A, B, D, C. Your colors can be a fade, variegated, color blocked, whatever you want. A few sections will require contrast but you will have enough yarn to alter the assigned color when you get there so don’t get hung up on that. You don’t need a lot of contrast for this shawl so that black and white phone trick is useless for this.

If you’d like to share your yarn colors, you can do so in the Casapinka Ravelry group here! The Miss Babs colors we used are shown at the left and here kits are available here.

If you’d like to sign up for Casapinka and Sharon’s newsletter, where you will learn about upcoming patterns and retreats/classes, you can do so here.
