You’ll find here the knitting pattern for a shawl featuring a beautiful diamond lace motif.

The shawl was knitted using Novomerino 4ply (100% ultra fine merino wool) in the color Pear Drop by kpc yarns, 204.5 yd|187 m per 50 grams, with 3.5 mm (US 4) needles.

The pattern includes one chart each for the left and right sides of the shawl, as well as a straight version in case you prefer not to knit the slanted one. A fully written version of the pattern is also provided.

The slant of the shawl results from the pattern itself – specifically, from the yarn overs at the beginning of the row and the decreases at the end.

Yarn:
Any yarn with a yardage of 393.7 yd – 495.3 yd|360 m – 420 m per 100 grams (fingering weight) is suitable. For the sample shawl, 1636 yd|1496 m or 400 grams of yarn were used.

Size:
Gauge using US 4 (3.5 mm) needles in stockinette stitch: 29 sts x 36 rows  4 x 4 (10 x 10 cm). The measurements are approximately 80.7‘‘ | 205 cm in length and 21.7‘‘|55 cm in width after blocking. The shawl was knitted with 9 pattern repeats in width and 17 repeats in height.

Equipment:
You’ll need a circular knitting needle approximately 24“ – 32“ (60 – 80 cm) in needle size US 4 (3.5 mm). Several stitch markers and a blunt tapestry needle for weaving in the ends.

Skill Level:
Suitable for beginners with basic knowledge.
Techniques required: knit stitches, purl stitches, yarn overs for increases, and left- and right-leaning decreases.

Direction of Knitting:
Bottom up.

Das Tuch wurde mit der Novomerino 4ply (100 % ultra fine merino wool) in der Farbe Pear Drop von kpc yarns, 50 g 187 m mit Nadelstärke 3,5 mm gestrickt.

Die Anleitung enthält einen je einen Muster-Chart für die linke und rechte Seite und auch eine gerade Variante, falls dir die Schräge nicht zusagt, und dazu eine ausgeschriebene Anleitung.

Die Schräge ergibt sich aus dem Muster, bzw. den Umschlägen am Beginn der Runde und den zusammen gestrickten Maschen am Ende der Runde.

Wolle | Garn:
Es ist jedes Garn mit einer Lauflänge von 360 m – 420 m pro 100g geeignet. Fingering Garn. Für das Mustertuch wurden 1496 m bzw. 400 g verstrickt.

Größe:
Maschenprobe mit NS 3,5 mm glatt-rechts gestrickt: 29 M x 36 R → 10 x 10 cm. Die Maße betragen nach dem Spannen ca. 205 cm Seitenlänge und 53 cm in der Breite. Das Tuch wurde mit 9 Rapporten breit und 16 Rapporten hoch gestrickt.

Equipment:
Benötigt werden eine Rundstricknadel ca. 60cm-80cm in Nadelstärke 3,5 mm, mehrere Maschenmarkierer und eine stumpfe Stopfnadel zum Vernähen der Fäden.

Schwierigkeitsstufe:
Für Anfänger mit Grundkenntnissen geeignet.
Benötigt werden folgende Techniken: rechte Maschen, linke Maschen, Zunahmen durch Umschläge und links- bzw. rechts geneigte Abnahmen.
