The yarn used for this project evoked the memory of summer flowers and therefore needed a light and airy stitch pattern. The shell and trellis stitch pattern met that requirement. The pattern also pooled the colors enhancing the impression of summer flowers. The pattern works well with a multi color, or strongly tonal yarn.
